The responsible Deputy Regional Governor Anastasia Antonelli stated about the implementation of this act:

“We have the pleasure of implementing our proposal approved by ETAL that we submitted and it concerns the realization of an Art workshop in Lesvos in collaboration with ASKT following a programming contract. The timeless inspirational landscape of Lesvos, its magical light, the sea around “platanophyllo”, the alleys of Molyvos with beds made of salkimia, will be a source of inspiration for 8 young artists of ASKT, under the experienced eye of her professors, Giorgos Alexandridis and Kostas Christopoulos. Students’ projects will be evaluated and awarded by a five-member committee. It is our honor to have both the professors and the students of ASKT on our island, since we believe that their inspiration and works will contribute to the promotion of the cultural identity of our islands so that it can travel to the world, a goal we have served and are serving since the assumption of our duties.

Public Thank you: to Mr. Tranos, Rector of ASKT for the willingness to cooperate, to our fellow doctor and painter Kostas Kantarzis for his valuable help and of course to ETAL for funding our idea – in particular to the General Director Mr. Perimeni Anastasios, for the perfect cooperation and mutual understanding”
