Trahana Festival at Akrasi

Akrasi is located in the southern part of Lesvos, 15 km from Plomari. Each year in August, under the refreshing plane trees of this wonderful village, the annual Trahana Festival takes place where locals and visitors attend the production process of trahana and try this traditional and wholesome delicacy. Traditional music groups and traditionally-dressed dance troupes entertain their guests until the early morning hours.
