Visit to a Farm

Tourists may be surprised by the unique experience of visiting the Kariofyllis and Bey’s Eden Farms, where they can become acquainted with a number of animals that live in harmony all together, to feed them and learn about their habits (mating, alimentation, natural habitats, etc.).

The Kariofyllis Farm was founded in 2013 and is located close to the mountainous village of Lepetymnos. Giorgos Kariofyllis is the proprietor and the inspiration behind this idea. There are many deer, goats, sheep, dwarf goats, peacocks, pheasants, and many more. The farm also cultivates chokeberries (“aronia”). This is one of the most nutritious plants, the one number one medicinal plant in all international medical lists. The aronia fruit is processed on the premises of this farm and converted into jam, dried fruit, fresh or frozen (depending on the season) and teas.

Another equally exceptional farm, Bey’s Eden, is located in the agricultural region Ap’doulia, close to Aghia Paraskevi, in the middle of the Grigoriadis Family farmland. This is an area of unique natural beauty looking out onto Kalloni Bay, with ample spaces for children and adults alike to enjoy and see farm animals, such as piglets, goats, birds, deer, llamas, etc. This is ideal for family trips, as the parents can enjoy their coffee in the farm cafeteria or taste local food made from traditional recipes and children can play around freely and safely on the farmland’s lawn or the children’s playground. Access to Bey’s Eden is easy for any type of automobile.
