The Paths of the Lava

Another hiking route network was created by the Museum of Natural History of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos connecting the Petrified Forest Park with Eresos and Singri. This network runs for about 27 km and traverses an area with the most imposing petrified tree agglomerations, giving the opportunity to hikers to get to know the impressive standing and fallen tree trunks dating to twenty million years ago. These routes are equipped with signposts every 500 m, informational signs and rest areas.
