The Folklore Museum of Plomari

The Folklore Museum of Plomari is housed on the first floor of a building close to the central Plomari square, right next to the age-old plane trees in the square. The ground floor hosts a traditional kafeneio (coffee house). Its halls present exhibits from the everyday life of the locals in the past two centuries, such as household items, everyday use implements, traditional local costumes, a coin collection, historic documents and books plus the entire library of Irini Nafpliotou, the first physician to serve on Lesvos.
