The Western Lesvian Peninsula (Natura Protected Area)
The Western Lesvian Peninsula features the Singri Petrified forest. In the area we see many rare bird species, such as Kruper’s nuthatch, cinereous bunting, Ruppel’s warbler and others. The Petrified Forest is located at the northwestern edge of the island, close to Singri. This is a barren, arid area where the visitor may note the dispersed petrified trunks or part of trunks that have remained there for many millions of years.
