Agrotourism Festival at the Museum of Natural History of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos

The installations of the Museum of Natural History of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos host the annual Agrotourism Festival, celebrating an institution promoting local production, traditions and artistic creation. Visitors here have the opportunity to try delicious sweet fruit preserves and marmalades, many local delicacies, such as pickles, handmade pasta, ouzo, olive oil, ladotyri cheese and many other dairy products, prepared and manufactured by the Women’s Agrotourist Cooperatives with much love and effort. The special exhibition kiosks are set up on the premises of the Museum enabling all visitors to get acquainted and taste the classic examples of local food production. This event has made the Agrotourism Festival an integral part in the promotion and development of Lesvian business activity. The festival also showcases musical and dance performances, theatrical plays and many other supporting events.
