Cookies with Vrasma


2 cups fig juice

1 cup olive oil

1 tsp. soda bicarbonate

½ tsp. cinnamon

½ tsp. nutmeg

1 ½ kg. flour approximately



Step 1

Blanche the dried figs. Separate the smaller figs and boil them until tender. Alternatively, you may soak them overnight. Add rose geranium for more fragrance. After boiling drain in a cloth and keep the juice to use for the cookies.

Step 2

Boil the juice until it becomes syrupy.

Step 3

After boiling, knead the dough with the remaining ingredients and form the cookies. Dip the cookies in the boiling juice, stir with a ladle and serve.
