INGREDIENTS
1 kg. beef (cut in pieces)
1 large onion finely chopped
2 carrots, cut in thin slices
1/3 cup olive oil
½ cup dry white wine
8 pepper corns
4 allspice corns
2 cups water
1 tbs. salt
PREPARATION
Step 1
Salt the meat.
Step 2
Heat the olive oil. Roast the meat on all sides and sauté the onion and the carrots along with the meat. Add the pepper and the allspice corns. Add salt.
Step 3
Add the wine. Lower the flame and add water. Let cook for 1 ½ hour until tender.
Step 4
Serve with rice, pasta or orzo.
